We hope this message finds you well and that you didn’t suffer too much damage from the ice storm.
Show season is approaching rather quickly and we have our AGM scheduled. This email is long and we ask that you read to the end.

GENERAL INFO
There was a change in the Not For Profit corporate legislation requiring us to amend our ByLaws. There will be a special meeting for this purpose and it will take effect prior to the AGM.
Sign on and rules are the same for both and hopefully it will be a quick meeting after which we will move directly into the AGM.
You will find attached the following:

We would ask that you read the ByLaws in advance and if you have any questions, please reach out ahead of time. This will help keep the meeting moving and will allow us to make any changes that might come up from your questions in advance.
NOW FOR THE RULES
Please remember that you must have a 2025 THJA membership for Georgian Bay region in order to be eligible to vote at this meeting. Your membership must be purchased prior to April 12, 2025 at 5pm.
If you are unable to attend the AGM, please be aware of section 3.13 of the current THJA GBZ by-law Proxy Voting – Every Member entitled to vote at a meeting of Members may, by means of a proxy, appoint a proxy holder, to attend and vote on behalf of the Member. The proxy holder need not be a Member. A proxy must: a) Be signed by the Member; b) Be in a form that complies with the Act; c) Comply with the format stipulated by the Association; and d) Be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Association at least two (2) business days prior to the meeting of the Members.
